Oticon, Inc. has signed on as a Gold Sponsor of the HearStrong Foundation, a non-profit foundation that aims to shatter stigmas and radically challenge the perception of hearing in society. Rasmus Borsting, Executive Director, Oticon, Inc. spoke at the recent HearStrong celebration, held in Denver at Cableland, the residence of the Mayor of Denver. “Oticon is proud to be a gold sponsor of the HearStrong Foundation,” said Borsting. “At Oticon, we have a long-standing commitment to putting People First. And at its core, HearStrong is a program that puts everyday people with hearing loss from all walks of life ‘first’ - recognizing their courage, their kindness and their strength. We salute the many HearStrong Champions who inspire all of us and who work to empower the 80% of people with untreated hearing loss to take action to address their hearing health.”
At the January 23 celebration, Borsting joined guests that included HearStrong ambassador and former Seattle Seahawk Derrick Coleman. The event honored eight people as HearStrong Champions including the foundation’s 100th Champion.
