Oticon, Inc. Promotes New Directors in Government Services and Pediatrics

SOMERSET, NJ   April 16– Oticon, Inc. today announced the appointment of David Horowitz, AuD to Director, Government Services and Laura Shiplett, AuD, CCC-A to Director, Pediatrics. The new directors report to Vice President of Sales Thomas Lawrence.

In his new role, Horowitz will develop strategies and drive improvements that enable the Government Services team to bring quality products and services to US veterans and active duty military service personnel.  Oticon is an official supplier for the Veterans Administration, supplying hearing solutions to the Department of Defense and other federal agencies within the 50 states, Washington, DC and Puerto Rico. Horowitz, who joined Oticon in 2012, brings considerable experience in government services and account management and has worked as a clinical audiologist in both private practice and VA hospital settings.  He holds a Master of Science in Audiology from Adelphia University and a Doctor of Audiology from Salus University.

Laura Shiplett, AuD, CCC-A

Shiplett will lead Oticon Pediatrics Account Managers and the Customer Service team in providing quality support to Oticon Pediatrics accounts across the US.  An audiologist with more than 25 years of experience, Shiplett will work closely with her pediatric counterparts at Oticon A/S to apprise them of US market needs. Prior to joining Oticon in 2006, Shiplett served as a clinical audiologist with the Easter Seal Society for Children and developed hearing aid dispensing programs in a variety of settings. She earned a Master of Science in Audiology from Kent State University and a Doctor of Audiology from Salus University.
