SOMERSET, NJ June 29 – For the fifth year, the Oticon Government Services Team rallied Demant employees, their families and friends for a 5K race and fun run to benefit homeless veterans in New Jersey.  The annual Community Hope Flag Day Race/Walk raises funds to support the Hope for Veterans Programs, the leading initiative to help struggling veterans in New Jersey, including supportive services for veteran families. More than 100 Oticon participants joined the event on the ground at the VA Campus in NJ and virtually from cities across the US.

“Oticon Government Services is proud to again partner with Community Hope in this important fundraising event that helps to rescue more than 1,000 veterans and families from homelessness and despair,” said Sarah Draplin, Au.D., CCC-A, F-AAA, Senior Manager, Training and Education, Oticon Government Services. “Every day our dedicated team works through the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Defense and other federal agencies to bring innovative technology with meaningful benefits to veterans with hearing loss.  Events like the Flag Day celebration provide another way for us to show our support and appreciation for the sacrifices made by our nation’s veterans.”

Oticon is an official supplier of quality hearing solutions to the Veterans Health Administration.
