Osborne College of Audiology Awards Scholarships and Salus University Audiology Alumna of the Year Award

Elkins Park PA, March 28, 2012 - Dr. Victor Bray, dean of the Salus University Osborne College of Audiology (OCA), presented Gail Gudmundsen, AuD, with the inaugural Salus University Audiology Alumna of the Year award during the OCA alumni reception at AudiologyNOW! on Wednesday, March 28 in Boston.

This Salus University Alumni Association award is presented to an alumnus of the George S. Osborne College of Audiology who has "distinguished himself/herself through extraordinary service and contributions to the profession of audiology, bringing honor and prestige to Salus University."

Dr. Gudmundsen, a member of the Class of 2002, is a former adjunct faculty member and a past member of the University's Board of Trustees. She is currently the managing director of the Audiology Division of Entymotic Research, Inc.
Additionally, Dean Bray announced the four winners of student scholarships at the reception. Megan Sc
henk, Class of 2012, and Whitney Hill, Class of 2013, each won an Audiology Foundation of America Student Excellence Scholarship Award.

Kelsey Deputy, Class of 2012, and Andy Lau, Class of 2013, were the winners of the Anita Pikus, AuD Memorial Student Excellence Scholarship Award.

Salus University offers accredited graduate, professional and doctoral degrees in optometry;audiology;low vision and blindness rehabilitation and education;physician assistant studies;public health;biomedicine, and occupational therapy. The University is comprised of four colleges: Pennsylvania College of Optometry;George S. Osborne College of Audiology;College of Education and Rehabilitation, and the College of Health Sciences.
