NOAH System 3.6 Release Shows Positive Results For Clinicians

The NOAH System 3.6 release has gotten off to a positive start, judging by the feedback at October trade shows in the USA and Germany. "Visitors to our booth were very happy with the NOAH 3.6 release," stated Søren Kristensen, Product Manager at HIMSA. "Their comments confirm that NOAH System 3.6 is the best performing and most stable NOAH release ever."

NOAH System 3.6 is the latest version of the NOAH System software. Version 3.6 provides new networking technology using .NET remoting, as well as a new larger database for patient data. The NOAH System 3.6 upgrade is free to all NOAH 3 users with a registered license.

Improved Performance

Network users are already reporting significant improvements in NOAH network stability and performance. "Some NOAH 3 network users reported communication interruptions when Windows XP Service Pack 2 was introduced," stated Kristensen. "However, after upgrading to version 3.6 and .NET remoting technology, these problems have disappeared and network performance has improved dramatically." Many hearing care professionals are also happy with the larger NOAH 3.6database. "For larger businesses, the 1 GB database in earlier NOAH versions was simply not large enough for storing all their patient data," stated Kristensen. "The 4 GB database offered by version 3.6 was just what these NOAH users needed."

NOAH does Vista

For other NOAH users, the most important news is that NOAH System 3.6 is Windows Vista compatible. "Several NOAH users purchased a new computer for their practice, only to find that most of their key software was not Windows Vista compatible," stated Kristensen. "These customers are pleased to learn that they can now use NOAH 3.6 on their brand new Vista computers. Please keep in mind, however, that not all NOAH modules support Vista. HIMSA therefore continues to recommend Windows XP for your NOAH computer." Currently, around ten NOAH modules are certified for Vista, and more are on the way.
