HIMSA announces that version 3.6 of NOAH System is now in final testing with our member companies. Based on results so far, version 3.6 should be released in April, around the time of the AudiologyNOW! trade show in Denver.
"Due to a number of factors, we were regrettably unable to meet the initial planned release in January of this year," stated Scott Peterson, Director of Operations, HIMSA Inc., "However, the extra few weeks have been well spent."
In particular, HIMSA has worked hard to streamline and optimize compatibility with Windows Vista, as well as with an ever-growing array of Firewall and Antivirus products. "Antivirus and Firewall products perform an important service for many computer users," stated Peterson. "However, these products can also potentially block critical NOAH System functionality. We have therefore worked hard to ensure that NOAH System installs and works right out of the box, with as many of these products as possible."
NOAH System 3.6 provides a number of improvements, including a larger database, Microsoft SQL Server compatibility, .NET network technology and Microsoft Vista compatibility. And the upgrade is free for licensed NOAH System 3 users. For a demonstration of NOAH System version 3.6, stop by booth 1258 at the AudiologyNOW! trade show, April 18-21 in Denver Colorado.
