Washington, DC, JANUARY 31, 2011 - The National Association of Specialty Health Organizations (NASHO), an American Association of Preferred Provider Organizations (AAPPO) subsidiary, launched the National Hearing Industry Alliance (NHIA) at its January 23rd Board meeting. Alliance participants include NASHO newcomers Michele M. Fusco, Senior Vice President of Amplifon USA;Kyle Kennedy, Managing Director of ABS, Brad Volkmer, President of EPIC Hearing Healthcare;and Dr. Cindy Beyer, Senior Vice President Professional Services of HearUSA, who join existing member John Laftsidis, National Strategic Alliances Manager of Beltone Hearing Care Corporation. The Alliance convened for the first time following its induction by the NASHO Board of Directors.
"By simultaneously growing our ranks and forming this Alliance, NASHO carries on its mission to serve the specialty-specific needs of our members while also providing a strong, collective voice for specialty health as a whole," said Julian Roberts, Executive Director of NASHO.
Dr. Cindy Beyer, newly-elected Chairman of the Alliance added, "We are excited to be part of this groundbreaking venture with NASHO, and look forward to drawing upon NASHO's infrastructure, resources and intellectual capital to further the interests of the hearing industry."
The formation of the Alliance enables NASHO to uniquely represent and advocate for hearing industry networks and plans.
