One of NASCAR's racing legends and ESPNs "Iron Man Award" winner, Dave Marcis, will be the guest of the Audiology Awareness Campaign at the ADA meeting on Wednesday night, October 8th in the Exhibit Hall at the Audiology Awareness Campaign booth.
Dave has been racing for over 35 years on the NASCAR Winston Cup tour until his retirement in 2002. Although he has never won the Daytona 500, Dave has the most consecutive starts (33) at NASCARs premier event than anyone in NASCARs history!
ADA member Dr. Bob DiSogra has been helping Dave to hear better since 1988. "He and has experienced a 50% loss in his hearing as result of his racing career and has been a big supporter of the goals of the Audiology Awareness Campaign as a result of our relationship," said DiSogra.
Dr. Kathy Landau-Goodman, chairperson of the AAC said, "Dave appears in the AACs public service announcement that will be shown at the AAC booth at the ADA meeting. Dave will sign and personalize up to 25 posters at the meeting for a $50 donation. He will dissuss how he has benefited from his association with our profession."
