The National Association of Future Doctors of Audiology (NAFDA) held its fifth Annual Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah on March 31, 2004 from 8:00am-5:00pm. The convention hosted over 250 Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) and research Ph.D. students from programs across the nation. Dynamic professionals discussed a variety of topics including humanitarian efforts, practice management, and 4th year student placements with knowledge-hungry students at various stages of there academic career. In addition, NAFDA offered a general meeting at 6:00pm on Thursday, April 1, 2004 at which several corporate partners were recognized for their participation in NAFDA events.
Many new objectives were outlined at the executive NAFDA board meeting. Among these were the initiation of a student based academic journal, a dedication to improving the NAFDA website, and a desire to improve communication between NAFDA and their current corporate partners and advisors.
