Monthly Review - Audio Courses and More

Share:

I hope 2013 has been going great for you so far. We have lots in store for you this year - here are a few highlights of the latest happenings on AO.

  • Audio Courses! In an effort to continue to provide you with the information you need in the ways that you need it, we’ve expanded our CEU course offerings to include audio courses this year. You can download them to your smartphone, tablet or MP3 player as a podcast and listen at your convenience, or stream them from our site. This means that each course may now be available in up to four formats: live webinar, recorded webinar, text/transcript and audio. Search our library by “Audio” courses to see the growing list of courses available in this format.

  • American Auditory Society seminars. This year, we’ve partnered with the American Auditory Society for a series of four seminars from their esteemed membership, which is comprised not only of audiologists, but also researchers, scientists and allied professionals. Like the great research you see coming out of their journal, Ear & Hearing, these seminars promise to be timely and insightful. Check them out at www.audiologyonline.com/aas

  • Grand Rounds at Henry Ford Hospital. Join Drs. Brad Stach, Virginia Ramachandran and the other senior audiology staff and their students at Henry Ford Hospital for grand rounds February 11 - 15. We’ll have one live webinar each day of the week, covering interesting actual cases, as well as a camera crew on site providing a live video feed! We hope you can attend from the comfort of your computer, and join in with comments and questions. More information can be found at www.audiologyonline.com/grandrounds

  • 20Q: Hearing Aids - The Brain Connection.  Dr. Kelly Tremblay is the latest esteemed expert to spend some time with the 20Q question man. This time, they discuss fascinating research on brain measures and their potential use in hearing aid fittings. Dr. Gus Mueller is working away on organizing another year of monthly 20Q articles for 2013. Be sure to bookmark www.audiologyonline.com/20Q for easy access to the entire collection.

In case you missed my note last month I’ll say it again - all the best to you for 2013 from everyone at AudiologyOnline. You’re the focus of all we do and we look forward to another great year. As always, please continue sending your comments and suggestions via email, course evaluations, phone calls, Tweets, and Facebook posts. Thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

Carolyn Smaka, AuD
