"The Cushion Aids™ that Westone provides our office have been found to have another use. We have found out by mistake that they also help and/or solve moisture problems for patients wearing BTEs. We place them on the underside of the hearing instrument with the curved half toward the patient's head. This allows the device and the skin not to be touching and therefore very little or no perspiration can get into the BTE. We have had many (more than 200) patients that have used this with excellent success. We just change the pads at the six month checkups as needed. It has saved them countless dollars for repairs. The patients can also change the pads themselves."
