Micro-Tech announces the release of the Apex Programming Interface, a new system that provides more reliable programming connections and greater durability. The battery compartment has an improved acoustic seal and a reinforced battery door that helps to strengthen the Apex Faceplate. A distinct sound when the battery door is closed ensures full closure of the reinforced door. A raised finger latch makes it easier for patients to open the battery door. The plastic is made out of tenite, which increases the strength of the faceplate. A new sculpted design and other options are now available to complement the faceplate. The Programming Ribbon provides stable, reliable connections and stands up to abuse while programming. Raised programming guides help direct the Programming Ribbon into the correct position. A new programming contact system virtually eliminates movement of the Programming Ribbon to reduce loss of connection during programming. The Apex Programming Interface is available in all custom Micro-Tech digital and programmable products.
