(Reston, Va. - February 3) - Minneapolis, Minnesota will play host to AudiologyNOW! 2006 from April 5-8. This annual American
Academy of Audiology event promises to be the most successful to date with thousands of audiologists, exhibitors and students expected to be in attendance.
AudiologyNOW! 2006 is the premier event for audiologists and the hearing health industry. Attendees can expect to preview the latest technologies, gather information on ground-breaking discoveries, and learn about state-of-the-art procedures for diagnosing and treating hearing loss and balance disorders. With a full slate of Learning Modules, Featured Sessions, numerous Research Poster and Podium Sessions, hands-on Learning Labs and special events planned, attendees can count on an exceptional educational experience.
"We're excited to be in Minneapolis this year," said AudiologyNOW! 2006 Program Chair Pat Feeney. Home to many hearing aid manufacturers, one of the reasons Minneapolis was selected was to offer audiologists an opportunity to tour a manufacturing facility.
This year's AudiologySolutions (Expo) at the Minneapolis Convention Center boasts over 200 exhibitors and an impressive 90,000 square feet of exhibits that will feature the newest products and technology in the field.
In addition, Academy members will host an educational program and hearing screening for the public on Thursday, April 6 from 1-3pm at the Medica Skyway Senior Center. These experts will present and answer questions on topics such as hearing health, balance and dizziness issues as a way to reach out to local consumers while in the area.
