VNG 5.23.0: Binocular Configuration for Comprehensive Vestibular Testing
One of the most notable advancements in VNG 5.23.0 is the introduction of a binocular configuration within the Nystagmus module, specifically designed for vestibular exams where the patient’s vision needs to be obscured. This innovative feature allows the software to compute numerical results, generate tabular values, and create graphic curves for both eyes simultaneously. Previously, while the video could display both eyes, data analysis and graph generation were limited to a single selected eye. With this update, clinicians can now conduct more comprehensive and accurate vestibular assessments by analyzing both eyes concurrently, leading to more precise diagnoses and treatment plans.
The VNG 5.23.0 module is fully integrated within the Maestro software (the core of all Inventis devices, allowing all patient data and results to be saved in a single database) allowing seamless operation with both wired and wireless masks. Together, this hardware and software combination forms the Nystalyze system, offering advanced capabilities for accurate and efficient vestibular testing.
