Naerum, DK November 13 -- Ida Institute, a non-profit independent educational institute, today announced the appointment of Bente Sørensen as Project Manager. In her new role, Sørensen will be involved in all stages of project management from abstract idea to planning and designing and execution and deployment. She will develop deployment strategies and outcome measurements for all Ida projects to ensure increasing uptake and use of Ida tools among a variety of stakeholders. Her responsibilities also include facilitation of Ida’s innovation workshops and training on Ida tools and methods.
As the newest member of Ida’s multidisciplinary team, Sørensen will collaborate with Ida anthropologists, innovation experts, designers, audiologists and learning and communication experts to foster exchange and build bridges among practitioners, educators, researchers and advocacy organizations within the area of hearing loss.
Sørensen brings a strong background in the promotion of human rights of vulnerable groups to her new position. Prior to joining the Ida Institute, Sørensen worked as a project manager for the International Labour Organization (ILO), a specialized agency of the United Nations, and the United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF). At the ILO, Sorensen served as program manager for the International Training Center where she organized training courses and knowledge sharing seminars. She also has considerable experience in coordinating studies, pilot projects and communication campaigns.
Sørensen, who is fluent in English and Spanish in addition to her native Danish, holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen.
