Experts from the "House" organizations have a long history of active participation in the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Foundation, Inc. (AAO-HNSF), one of the oldest medical associations in the nation, representing more than 10,000 physicians and allied health professionals who specialize in the treatment of the ears, nose, throat and related structures of the head and neck. Four "House" physicians have served as AAO-HNSF President, beginning with House Ear Institute and House Ear Clinic founder Howard P. House, M.D., who served as president in 1972. Dr. House was followed by House Clinic physicians Derald E. Brackmann, M.D. (1987-88), Antonio De la Cruz, M.D. (1997-98), and Jennifer Derebery, M.D. (2003-04). John W.
