House Ear Institute Opens Doors To Attendees of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery

Los Angeles, CA - September 21, 2005 - The House Ear Institute (HEI) will exhibit in Booth #308 at the AAO-HNSF 2005 Annual Meeting & OTO EXPO, being held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from September 25-28. Attendees will find a variety of information on display, and learn about upcoming educational opportunities taking place at HEI. Conveniently located just three miles west of the convention center, the House Ear Institute also opens its doors to AAO-HNSF members who would like a comprehensive guided tour of its research laboratories and educational facilities. Experts from the "House" organizations have a long history of active participation in the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery Foundation, Inc. (AAO-HNSF), one of the oldest medical associations in the nation, representing more than 10,000 physicians and allied health professionals who specialize in the treatment of the ears, nose, throat and related structures of the head and neck. Four "House" physicians have served as AAO-HNSF President, beginning with House Ear Institute and House Ear Clinic founder Howard P. House, M.D., who served as president in 1972. Dr. House was followed by House Clinic physicians Derald E. Brackmann, M.D. (1987-88), Antonio De la Cruz, M.D. (1997-98), and Jennifer Derebery, M.D. (2003-04). John W. House, M.D., has been elected to the Board of Directors of the AAO-HNS for the 2005-2007 term.

About the House Clinic (House Ear Clinic)

The House Clinic is a private medical practice located within the House Ear Institute facility specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of ear diseases, hearing loss and related disorders that involve the facial nerve, acoustic tumors, skull base, otologic allergy and the balance system.
