Last year HLAA posted the survey, “Can You Hear Me Now? HLAA HAC Cell Phone Survey.” Over 700 people responded, allowing HLAA to provide solid information to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regarding consumer experiences with Hearing Aid Compatible (HAC) cell phones. The FCC wants to update the information they have. Once again, they need your help.
If you use hearing aids or cochlear implants, you know that not every cell phone is right for you. Some cause huge interference. Others are great. HLAA has been working with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and with the wireless industry to see to it that the phone you would like to own is compatible with your hearing aid or cochlear implant. As technology changes, and cell phones get better and better, we would like to see people with hearing loss benefit from cutting edge technology.
So, HLAA created a new survey, "The HLAA HAC Cell Phone Survey 2012". This quick survey has only 8 questions so should take just a few minutes of your time. HLAA will pass along a summary of your responses to the FCC and will post the results of the survey to their website.
But do it soon! They plan to close the survey by December 19.
