The Hearing Loss Association of America's convention is an interactive and accessible event for people affected by hearing loss as well as family members and professionals. Highlights include educational workshops, a research symposium (the Deafness Research Foundation will arrange and sponsor the symposium on the latest developments in hair cell regeneration), an Exhibit Hall with an array of technology, services and information for people with hearing loss, and of course, the chance to make new friends. Vint Cerf, Ph.D., vice president and chief Internet evangelist for Google, and widely known as known as the "Father of the Internet," will deliver the Keynote Speech at the Opening Session. The HLAA Convention 2009 will be held June 18-21, 2009 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
