HLAA Awards Program

Share:

Nominations Due October 31, 2013.

HLAA currently is seeking nominations for the coming year. Please select Word version or PDF version to download the description of each award and its qualifications. Please add appropriate detail to the nomination and include a completed cover sheet (included in the packet) for each nomination. Nominations that include information closely matching the award criteria stand the best chance for being selected for the award. Individuals nominated for awards (except for Family Involvement) must be current HLAA members before being nominated.

HLAA will present the awards at the HLAA Convention 2014 Awards Breakfast and Ceremony on Sunday morning, June 29, 2014. Nominators and recipients will be notified by December 15, 2013 and both are encouraged but not required to attend the Convention and Awards Ceremony.

To be eligible for judging, applications and attachments (where applicable) must reach HLAA by e-mail to elebarron@hearingloss.org or be postmarked by October 31, 2013. If you are mailing materials, please include three copies/sets of each item printed in color and address them to the:

HLAA Awards Committee
Hearing Loss Association of America
7910 Woodmont Avenue, Suite 1200
Bethesda, MD 20814

Please email entries when possible.

About the Awards

HLAA Conventions are a time to honor HLAA State organizations (associations and offices), Chapters and others with well-deserved awards. HLAA State organizations and Chapters find unique and meaningful ways to serve member needs as they reach out and make an impact. National awards acknowledge these achievements and contributions.

The HLAA Awards Committee examines applications based on criteria described with each award and considers ongoing projects and activities. Individuals nominated for awards must be current HLAA members before being nominated. The person nominated for the Family Involvement Award, however, does not have to be an HLAA member, but the person with the hearing loss whom they support should be. HLAA might not present awards in each category every year.
