In making the presentation to the Congressman, HIA executive director Carole M. Rogin noted, "H.R. 414, and its companion bill S. 1060, are the first pieces of hearing-related legislation in decades that have the full support of virtually every organization in the hearing field. HIA is pleased to honor Congressman Ryun as Representative of the Year, to acknowledge and to thank him for dedicating his time, resources and knowledge to hearing health issues. The hearing health care community is grateful for his ongoing leadership and support."
