Henning Falster Honored with 2017 Ken Saiki People First Award

SOMERSET, NJ  February 6 – Oticon, Inc. has honored Henning Falster, Senior Manager, Professional Programs & Events, with the 2017 Ken Saiki People First Award.    The annual award presentation recognizes Oticon staff who through their actions demonstrate the principles of People First. Falster was praised for his integrity, work ethic and ability to inspire others to improve through his own example of excellence. One employee is selected each year for this company-wide honor that is named in memory of Ken Saiki, a former Oticon Account Manager who provided exemplary People First service to Oticon customers for more than 24 years.

Oticon President Gary Rosenblum presents the 2017 Ken Saiki People First Award to Henning Falster, Senior Manager, Professional Programs & Events.  The annual award recognizes Oticon staff who through their actions demonstrate the principles of People First. Rosenblum praised Falster’s attention to creating best-in-class customer experience and his incredible organization and people management skills have helped to make Oticon knowledge-sharing events among the most valuable and productive in the industry. “Henning Falster has been a driving force in establishing a gold standard for Oticon professional conferences and events,” said Oticon President Gary Rosenblum.  “His attention to creating best-in-class customer experience and his incredible organization and people management skills have helped to make Oticon knowledge-sharing events among the most valuable and productive for our professional partners.”

Candidates for the Ken Saiki People First Award are nominated by their colleagues.  Nominators noted that “Henning’s resourcefulness and attention to detail consistently bring everything he touches to a higher level.”

Falster began his tenure at Oticon in 1974 as a Field Sales Engineer before moving to sales management, product management and customer support. He later transitioned to Marketing where he was responsible for new product launches and support programs for the hearing care providers.

Falster has served on a number of industry and association committees and is a strong advocate on behalf of industry in influencing positive changes at the national audiology conventions.  He was instrumental in establishing the Oticon-sponsored Marion Downs Pediatric Lecture Series held each year at the AudiologyNOW! Convention.
