Following the (Re)Habilitation Connect Forum, Attendees and Panelists to Gather for Conversation and Community
PHILADELPHIA, May 11, 2022 – Hearing First, a nonprofit dedicated to providing support for professionals and families working toward Listening and Spoken Language (LSL) outcomes for children with hearing loss, will host a reception at the upcoming American Cochlear Implant (ACI) Alliance symposium, CI2022 DC Emerging Issues in Cochlear Implantation. The event, “Continuing the Conversation,” will be held on Friday, May 20 at 5:15 p.m. following the (Re)Habilitation Connect Forum.
The (Re)Habilitation Connect Forum is a featured event with presentations from experts on clinically-applicable, research-based information. This year’s topics include “Special Education Services for Infant and Children with Cochlear Implants: What is Appropriate?” and “Maximizing Cochlear Implant Adult Outcomes with Short-term Aural Rehabilitation (AR) Intervention.”

AVT, CEO of Hearing First. “Hearing First believes in connected learning so this is an important event to provide an opportunity for CI2022 attendees and panelists to continue the conversation together in person following the (Re)Habilitation Connect Forum. When professionals share and discuss the latest research and knowledge, together we’re moving the needle to improve listening and spoken language outcomes for children with hearing loss.”
As part of their mission to support families of children with hearing loss, Hearing First provides free resources and materials for parents, as well as professionals supporting families, through HearingFirst.org. Hearing First is also home to more than 6,000 hearing industry professionals who use the Professional Learning Community to connect with other colleagues around the globe, helping take their practice to the next level. Free learning experiences are also provided for the opportunity to earn CEUs so professional teams can stay on the forefront of best practices related to LSL, pediatric audiology, cochlear implants, and more, while also leveling up their knowledge and skills to improve outcomes. There’s dedicated space for families to connect in a free, safe space and find support from others on this journey as they ask questions, share difficulties, and celebrate wins.
