Happy fall! From my desk in the Northeast, it's arguably the best time of year. We have a great fall line up of content on AudiologyOnline to help you stay up to date and earn CEUs. Here is a preview.
Hearing Aid Month
Dr. Catherine Palmer |
This month, we've focused on a topic that is constantly changing - hearing aids and amplification. Dr. Gus Mueller has invited a team of experts to help get us up to speed on topics like measuring benefit, tackling the age-old speech-in-noise problem, and more. The month also features a journal review on hearing aid technology by Dr. Todd Ricketts, for those of us who may have brought lighter reading to the beach this summer! To close out the month, leading hearing instrument manufacturers will present the evidence behind some of their features in a roundtable discussion that will be moderated by Dr. Catherine Palmer. Browse the month's agenda and register for one or more webinars.
20Q: Advances in Middle Ear Implants
Dr. Brad Stach |
This month's 20Q with Gus Mueller article expands the theme of hearing aid month to include other amplification, namely, middle ear implants. With several products now on the market, our patients may come in with questions. What are the advantages, disadvantages, potential benefits and candidacy for these devices? Dr. Brad Stach sat down with our Question Man and detailed the answers to these questions in a clear, concise 20Q that mirrors the excellent webinar he gave on the topic this month. "I now feel prepared to discuss this technology" was how one reader explained her take on this very informative article.
