From November 1, 2019 until January 10, 2020, the Hear the World Foundation is accepting applications for funding from aid organizations benefiting people in need with hearing loss.
Staefa/Switzerland, October 30 2019 - Since its establishment in 2006, the Foundation has been supporting numerous aid projects around the world. Funding is focused on projects for children develop to their fullest potential, programs to support their parents, hearing loss prevention campaigns and training of local staff.
The Hear the World Foundation provides financial support, hearing care solutions (e.g., hearing aids, cochlear implants, wireless microphone systems, spare parts, batteries) and on-site expertise to train local staff.
In order for the donated funds to be used as effectively as possible and ensure long-term benefits and sustainability, the Foundation favors two project types:
- Long-term partnerships with the goal of setting up comprehensive programs to provide quality audiological care in countries with gaps in this area.
- Innovative projects that create added value in the domain of hearing health by means of an new approach or a new technology, such as the development of an app for non-audiologists to conduct hearing screenings in the field.
