Four more Representatives co-sponsored H.R. 414 in the past week bringing the total number of formal tax credit supporters to 45. New co-sponsors include Rep. Barney Frank, (D-MA); Rep. Lee Terry (R-NE); Rep. Patrick Tiberi, (R-OH); and Rep. Heather Wilson (R-NM.) Rep. Frank represents the New Bedford area of Massachusetts, Rep. Terry represents the 2nd district of Nebraska which includes Omaha, Rep. Tiberi represents the Columbus area and Rep. Wilson represents the 1st district of New Mexico which includes Albuquerque.
Rep. Tiberi has been named as a potential new member of the House Ways and Means Committee to fill the vacancy left by Rep. Rob Portman of Ohio who was nominated to be the new U.S. Trade Representative. The House Ways and Means Committee is critical to the passage of any tax legislation including H.R. 414.
