Oticon, Inc. and AAA Foundation Invite Audiologists to Showcase Their Talents for a Good Cause.

SOMERSET, NJ February 8 -
Got talent and a desire to make a positive difference for your favorite charity? Oticon, Inc. and the American Academy of Audiology Foundation are teaming up to present Audiology's Got Talent, a very special showcase of talented audiologists to be held during the 2012 AudiologyNOW! in Boston. Audiologists and audiology students who sing, dance, juggle or possess any of an array of entertaining skills are encouraged to participate in the fun competition. The individual or group selected as the showcase winner will be awarded a $1,000 donation, provided by Oticon, Inc., to be given to the charitable cause of the winner's choice.

"We know there is no limit to the skill and expertise that hearing care professionals in private and public practice demonstrate on a daily basis," says Oticon President Peer Lauritsen. "Our hope is that this good-natured competition will encourage audiologists to share their other unique talents and, at the same time, potentially benefit a non-profit cause that is close to their hearts."

"The Audiology's Got Talent competition is a wonderfully innovative way for talented audiologists and audiology students to contribute to the excitement and spirit that surround AudiologyNOW!," adds Dick Danielson, Chair of the AAA Foundation. "It's also a unique opportunity to make a positive difference for a worthy cause like the Empowering People Scholarships, or for other non-profit or university programs."

The competition is open to all varieties of talents. Any members in good standing of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) or the Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) may enter the competition as an individual or a group. Groups must include at least one AAA or SAA member.

Five top contenders will be selected to perform on Thursday, March 29 before a VIP Judging Panel at Oticon's Rock NOW Benefit Event in Boston.

Details about this unique event and entry forms are available at https://www.oticonaudiologynow2012.com/. Deadline for entries is March 1, 2012.
