SOMERSET, NJ - Oticon, Inc. today announced the appointment of Gordon Wilson as Vice President of Marketing for the company's U.S. operations. In his new position, Wilson will oversee marketing and marketing services for the leading hearing care manufacturer from Oticon's Somerset, New Jersey headquarters.
"Gordon brings extensive experience in marketing and market development at a time when Oticon is experiencing success with a full range of product offerings," stated Mikael Worning, President of Oticon, Inc. "His breadth of knowledge in marketing hearing instruments will greatly enhance our ability to create consumer awareness and demand for Oticon hearing instruments."
Wilson, who joined Oticon A/S in 1991 as a product manager, brings over 12 years of experience in the hearing care development and marketing to his new position. Most recently, he worked in Oticon's Copenhagen headquarters where he managed the business teams responsible for the development and marketing of the Swift, Ergo, Atlas and Sumo product lines. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Western Australia, Perth and a master's degree in business administration from the University of New South Wales, Sydney.
Former Vice President of Marketing, Peter Mark, Oticon, Inc. returns to Copenhagen with his family, where he will continue to consult with the company on marketing and other business development issues.
