Copenhagen, 2013-04-03 19:30 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) --Today, GN ReSound hosts its press and analyst meeting at the American Academy of Audiology’s “AudiologyNOW! 2013” conference in Anaheim, USA. At the meeting, GN ReSound presents a number of new products and accessories built on the unique 2.4 GHz technology. While the ReSound Verso™ family is already the most extensive product family on the market, the family is extended with further segments and price points. GN ReSound also demonstrates new innovative technology at the meeting.
New products:
- ReSound Verso™ TS is GN ReSound’s third generation of advanced tinnitus solutions. It is based on GN ReSound’s established treatment methods for unique tinnitus relief and utilizing 2.4 GHz ear-to-ear communication for synchronized performance on the TS features. The product will be made available in Top and Plus price segments in all Behind-The-Ear and Receiver-In-the-Ear form factors as well as a Remote Microphone form factor
- ReSound Verso™ 5 is based on the ReSound Verso™ platform and strengthens GN ReSound’s position in the basic segment. The product features direct wireless streaming of sound and basic ear-to-ear coordination based on the 2.4 GHz technology. The product is entirely compatible with current and future ReSound Unite accessories and is expected to be launched starting from May 2013
New accessories:
- ReSound Unite™ Remote Control 2 is the new generation of the ReSound Unite™ Remote Control with improved wireless link, mute function of hearing instrument microphones, streaming volume adjustment and a rechargeable battery. It also features a larger, high contrast display and a new button design. All wireless accessories, including the ReSound Unite™ Remote Control 2, can now be turned off to save battery. Expected to be launched from Q3 2013
- ReSound Unite™ TV 2 – GN ReSound’s TV streamers continue to be the only products on the market allowing direct streaming to the hearing aid. The ReSound Unite™ TV 2 is the new generation TV streamer in an optimized design and with an intuitive plug-and-play setup. The product will be launched from Q3 2013
Demonstrations of new technology:
- GN Store Nord’s new, innovative 3D ear scanner technology will be demonstrated in a real life setting to show how the solution can be revolutionary to the hearing aid industry. A final product is expected to be offered to selected customers in Q4 2013 with full launch during 2014
- Key functionalities of prototype “Made for iPhone” hearing aids will also be demonstrated to indicate part of the broad opportunities emerging from a direct link between the iPhone and ReSound hearing aids. As previously communicated, “Made for iPhone” hearing aids are expected to be launched in 2013
