- a unique concept for easily carrying out all measurements without having to reposition the HI.
Schaumburg, March, 2012 - GN Otometrics, the world leader in hearing and balance diagnostic systems and known for its intuitive and high quality products, is introducing another step into the future of fitting, AURICAL HIT. Otometrics launched the only wireless and binaural Probe Microphone Measurement (PMM) unit on the market in 2010 and the AURICAL fitting audiometer last year. AURICAL HIT is the latest addition to this complete, modular fitting solution and will be shown at AudiologyNOW! on March 28th in Boston.
OnePosition - a unique concept for carrying out all measurements without having to reposition the HI
"We believe that the success of the new AURICAL fitting solution is the result of the large quantity of inputs that we have received prior to and during the development phase interviewing users around the world and analyzing the workflows of many clinicians. It is our core company value to develop products that adjust to the way audiologists work - not the other way around. And we have used the same approach when developing AURICAL HIT" states Soren Holst, President of GN Otometrics.
A small footprint was the users' number one wish. Therefore the new AURICAL HIT has an innovative, vertical design, which means it has the smallest footprint of any directionality-enabled test chamber ever. AURICAL HIT features the OnePosition Concept, a unique method which combines ease of use with accuracy and quality. In short, OnePosition is about quickly and easily placing the hearing instrument securely inside the test chamber and then not having to reposition it further for directionality or induction coil measurements. And that goes for all hearing instrument formats - including FM solutions. The portable AURICAL HIT is fully integrated with all the other AURICAL elements through the intuitive OTOsuite software.
AURICAL HIT also allows you to demonstrate advanced HI features effectively using the FreeStyle and Feature-2-Benefit function in OTOsuite. Proving an efficient attenuation of external noises the hearing instruments features can be demonstrated in less optimal acoustical conditions.
All in all, AURICAL HIT sets new standards for flexibility, ease-of-use and efficiency in coupler-based fitting using RECD, and in hearing instrument testing according to IEC and ANSI standards.
FDA pending.
