Chicago, Illinois | June 4, 2012 - GN Otometrics, the world leader in hearing and balance diagnostic systems, and Unitron, a global manufacturer of advanced, purpose-driven hearing solutions, have partnered to provide FittingNOW!, a series of educational seminars to be held in summer 2012 for professionals at key locations across the United States. The FittingNOW! seminars were designed to address the ever-changing needs of today's consumers, in order to provide professionals with proven clinical techniques and enable them to deliver more meaningful and engaging patient experiences.
In an era of disruptive technology and economic uncertainty, professionals need to adapt in order to deliver exceptional patient care, and to succeed in today's competitive healthcare arena. The FittingNOW! Summer Series 2012 hosted by GN Otometrics and Unitron focus on the latest clinical tools and procedures, in an interactive, hands-on learning environment. In addition, the seminars are offered for 6 hours of continuing education approved by the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), the International Hearing Society (IHS), and the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA).
Seminar instructors Wendy Switalski, Au.D. and Brian Taylor, Au.D. take a practical approach to clinical care that focuses on best practices. Both share an engaging, down-to-earth teaching style. Dr. Switalski is president of Audiometrics Consultants, Inc., a consultant to GN Otometrics, and owner of a successful private audiology practice in metro-Detroit that serves both adult and pediatric populations. She also serves as audiologist for the South Pacific territory of American Samoa, and is an experienced lecturer and workshop instructor. Dr. Taylor is the Director of Practice Development & Clinical Affairs for Unitron, the editor of Audiology Practices, and a frequent contributor to AudiologyOnline. He also serves on the advisory board of the Better Hearing Institute, and has published articles, book chapters and text books on a topics related to hearing aids, diagnostic audiology and business management.
