GN Otometrics Acquires License for ASSR From Vivosonic

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., September 13, 2002 - - GN Otometrics, through its ICS Medical division, announced today that it has executed an agreement with Vivosonic Incorporated of Toronto, Ontario, that will give GN Otometrics exclusive rights to use Vivosonic's patented technology for Auditory Steady State Response (ASSR) testing.

This commitment extends from screening with the Madsen AccuScreen, through diagnostic testing using the Capella OAE Cochlear Analyzer and CHARTR EP with PediABR, to frequency-specific testing to be done with the new ASSR capability. This integrated approach to infant hearing testing holds the potential for earlier habilitation and the hope for improved outcomes for hearing challenged infants.
