New professional students entering the Doctor of Audiology program at the College are: Elizabeth Soof, who majored in communication sciences and disorders at Temple University in Philadelphia, Atry Karami, who majored in biology from Towson University, Michael Rairigh, a biology major from Bethany College of West Virginia, and Jungwhan Lee-Kim, who majored in communication sciences and disorders at East Carolina University.

PCO's audiology program consists of a rigorous biomedical curriculum, based on the time-honored proven exceptional education provided to the College's optometry students, as well as state-of-the-art clinical training in all areas of hearing and balance. Graduates of the program, who will complete over 3,000 hours of clinical training and over 1,800 hours of instruction, will be equipped with the knowledge, skills and values essential for career success in an increasingly diverse and health conscious society.

According to Dr. George Osborne, Dean of the School of Audiology, "The program's mission is to graduate exceptionally competent and caring primary health care practitioners to fulfill an expanding role in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of disorders of the auditory/vestibular system, as well as the co-management of related systemic conditions."
