Los Angeles and St. Louis - August 2006 - Energizer® Battery, Inc., a leading provider of batteries for hearing aids and devices as well as consumer electronics, announces that it has awarded a full scholarship to Central Michigan University graduate student Ann Narimasu, who will receive one year of specialized clinical training as a pediatric audiologist at the Institute's Children's Auditory Research and Evaluation (CARE) Center. The Energizer® Audiology Traineeship term runs from July 1 through June 30, and because it provides a comprehensive range of services from newborn hearing screening to cochlear implants, is highly competitive. Candidates for the Traineeship were required to have a master's degree or clinical doctorate in audiology, and selection was based on merit and a desire to pursue a career in pediatric audiology. Narimasu has almost completed her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) and already has three years of clinical experience under her belt.
