Elkins Park, PA – Dr. Michael H. Mittelman, president of Salus University, has appointed Susan Oleszewski, OD, MA, who has served the University with distinction in a number of leadership capacities over the past 30-plus years, to the position of Chief of Staff. Salus University is an internationally recognized academic institution offering a wide range of graduate, post-graduate and professional degree programs for healthcare professionals.
President Mittelman said that Dr. Oleszewski will oversee the daily operations of the University including strategic planning and development. In addition, Dr. Oleszewski will collaborate with administrative leaders on the planning and implementation of key University projects.
“Dr. Oleszewki’s record of accomplishment during her distinguished career at Salus will be a great asset in her new position,” explained Dr. Mittelman. “She is an invaluable asset who will positively impact every aspect of our great University.”
Dr. Oleszewski, a tenured faculty member of the Salus University Pennsylvania College of Optometry, most recently served as vice president of patient care services and executive director of The Eye Institute of Salus University. Previously, she served in a number of key instructional, clinical, and administrative roles that included associate dean of clinical sciences. Widely credited with the successful design and implementation of a transformative new curriculum, she has lectured extensively to national and international optometric audiences. Dr. Oleszewski earned Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Optometry degrees from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and a Master of Arts degree from Temple University.
