SOMERSET, NJ August 17 -- The Demant US Diversity and Inclusion Program donated 100 backpacks and essential school supplies to support the 2021 United Way “Tools for Schools” drive. The annual charity drive benefits low income students of all ages, providing essential school supplies to help ensure every student is well equipped for the start of the school year.
The Demant Employee Resource Group (ERG) Care Community spearheaded the back-to-school success effort, rallying Demant and Oticon employees to prepare organized and ready-to-use backpacks filled with pens, pencils, glue sticks, notebooks, folders and more. To motivate and encourage students returning to the classroom following a year disrupted by COVID, the team also penned personal Notes of Inspiration that will be distributed to students at the start of the new school year.
