On October 25-27, 2007, conference organizers Dr. Robert Keith, Dr. David Brown, and Dorsey Ann Heithaus have created an education weekend for audiologist and physicians to explore our understanding of assessment and management of children and adults with APD.
During the first two days of the conference, being held at the Hilton Cincinnati Netherland Plaza, participants will have the opportunity to learn from the panel of experts. Conference goers have an opportunity the first two days to engage in eleven different discussions that will focus on both practical and theoretical issues related to APD and will explore what is on the horizon for this complex disorder.
An optional third day for a limited number of participants will provide a hands-on workshop at the world-renowned Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Participants will be provided the opportunity for demonstration and practice of test administration, intervention strategies and presentations.
Upon completing the conference participants will be able to:
- Identify and access persons with APD.
- Design management and remediation programs for persons with APD.
- Describe future possibilities for assessment and remediation of persons with APD.
