Halmstad, Sweden — Comfort Audio has announced that Inger Rydin will take office as new managing director of the assistive listening device manufacturer. Rydin replaces Ragnar Åhgren who had been managing director at Comfort Audio since 2002. Ragnar will become chairman of the board and continue working actively within the Comfort Audio Group.
"Comfort Audio is an exciting company with excellent opportunities to grow," said Rydin. "Technologically, it is far ahead, only recently the world's first hearing products with both digital sound transmission and digital sound treatment were released. To launch these products and thus offer people in need of better hearing a more active and easier life as well as strengthening Comfort Audio's position internationally will be our focus."
With a master's degree from Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden, Rydin gained her professional expertise mainly within the medical technological industry er latest post being vice president of marketing at Coloplast. Prior to that she worked at Mölnlycke Health Care.
