DENVER - September 2003 - Cochlear Americas, manufacturer of the Cochlear Nucleus® line of implants and the world leader in cochlear implant technology, recently announced two new staff promotions.
David Michael Evans, former Director Customer Care, West, was promoted to Vice President, Customer Care USA. In his new role, Evans will be responsible for all field sales efforts in the United States. Prior to joining Cochlear in February 2002, Evans had been National Sales Director for Songbird Hearing, Inc. in Princeton, NJ. In this position, Evans was responsible for U.S. sales of disposable hearing aids. He was also former District Manager of sales for the Vistakon division of Johnson and Johnson Vision Care. Evans holds two Master of Arts degrees, in management and in acquisition and procurement management.
Kären Miller, former Marketing Services Manager, was promoted to Director, Marketing Services. Miller is now responsible for all marketing support materials, tradeshow and event planning, including customer relationship management and corporate travel programs. Miller has worked at Cochlear since 1997. Prior to joining Cochlear, Miller was Director, Medical Marketing and WIC Programs for Gerber Products Company.
