Exploring the Potential of Now!
Join us for a weekend in beautiful New England to share insights, experiences and strategies for the changing frontier of deafness and hearing loss. Clarke's Family Weekend offers the opportunity to meet other families and participate in presentations, discussion sessions, and fun!
For Parents
The following Panel Presentations and Discussion Sessions will be led by Clarke professionals:
- Launching for Independence: An Overview of Normal Development and the Risks of Hearing Loss led by Family Center Director Janice Gatty, Clarke School - New York Director Teresa Boemio, and School Psychologist Cynthia Forsythe
- Transitions: Social and Academic Frontiers led by Director of Education and Outreach
Dan Salvucci and Mainstream Consultants Claire Troiano and Melissa Griswold - Literacy: Planning for Gold led by Auditory/Oral Communication Director Alli Holmberg, Clarke Pennsylvania Director Judy Sexton, and Reading Teacher Linda Findlay
For Children
Children's activities are scheduled so that parents can attend sessions worry-free while their children play together in fun supervised settings. Activities will include music and movement, arts and crafts, pony express, and visits from Wild West characters!
Families will also enjoy a campfire, cookout, swimming in Clarke's indoor Olympic size pool and Family Game Night!
Clarke's Exhibit Hall will feature new technology, products, media and information on exciting programs and services!

$350.00 per family before May 20
$395.00 per family after May 20
