The American Cochlear Implant Alliance invites you to join other hearing health clinicians, scientists, students, governmental officials and members of industry at the CI2018 Emerging Issues Symposium, March 7-10, 2018 in Washington, DC.

STUDENT POSTER COMPETITION:

ACI Alliance will hold a Student Poster Competition during CI2018 DC for those enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or resident program. Posters will be evaluated on content/poster organization and preparation, display appearance, originality and merit, and oral discussion/knowledge and presentation.

A winner and two honorable mentions will be selected and announced on Friday, March 9. Winner will receive a $100 cash prize. Winner and honorable mention recipients will be announced in ACI Alliance Calling and provided with a student membership. Click here for additional details on the Student Poster competition and evaluation criteria. 

To facilitate the Student/Resident Poster Competition, we have extended the Poster submission deadline to December 31, 2017 at 11:59 pm CT. If you or any students or young investigators in your program have research you would like to submit for poster presentation at CI2018 please do so now through December 31. All student authors of poster abstracts will be considered for the Student Poster Awards. Click here to submit an abstract.

JOHN NIPARKO MEMORIAL LECTURE:

We are delighted to announce that the CI2018 Emerging Issues John Niparko Memorial Lecture will be given by William G. Kronenberger PhD. Dr. Kronenberger's lecture is entitled “Executive Functioning and Language Development in Children with Cochlear Implants." The Niparko Lecture is scheduled for Thursday morning, March 8. 

Dr. Kronenerger joins us from Indiana University School of Medicine, where he serves as Professor and Director of the Section of Psychology and Executive Vice Chair of the Department of Psychiatry. He is also the Chief of the Pediatric Psychology Testing Clinic and Co-Chief of the ADHD Clinic at Riley Hospital for Children. Dr. Kronenberger has been an investigator on multiple projects addressing neurocognitive, psychosocial, and spoken language development in children with hearing loss and cochlear implants or hearing aids. 

REGISTRATION:
