In March, as part of an American Medical Association survey, the American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association are launching an online work value survey for audiology CPT codes. Currently, services performed by audiologists are valued based on the time it takes to perform the service. The cognitive work related to performing the service is not accounted for. If this effort is successful, it will have far-reaching implications for the value of audiology procedures. Your input is essential to this survey process.
