Call for Proposals - 2009 Summit at Jackson

Share:

The 2009 Summit at Jackson will be held September 3 - September 6, 2009 at the Jackson Lake Lodge, Moran, Wyoming. This biannual open meeting will be reminiscent of the Jackson Hole Rendezvous. The theme for the 2009 meeting is 'What is Old is New Again', an appropriate theme for the Lodge itself, which is undergoing a refurbishment to update rooms, but keeping the Historic Landmark Lodge as it always has been, a perfect frame to show off the grandeur and beauty of the Grand Tetons.

This is an educational conference, open to all hearing health related individuals and companies. CEU's will be provided. The conference will also offer social events in the registration fee including a float trip down the Snake River.

The deadline for initial submissions (title and abstract;not to exceed 200 words) is November 24th. Presentations (1-hour in length given by one or two presenters) should combine a review of an amplification technology or idea as it was first proposed or implemented, with an update that reviews the state-of-the-art for that technology, thus providing the audience with ideas that have been around for a while, but recent advances have made the idea more feasible, productive, or effective. One example might be a review of real-ear measures, with an update on the latest ideas and research in Live Speech Mapping. Submissions that match the conference's theme "What is Old, is New Again" are encouraged, however, all submissions related to amplification are welcome.

In addition, sponsors are sought and will have two options in which to participate. For a fee, sponsorship of one of the meals will include presentation time (over breakfast) to focus on company History, or anyone can provide one of the conference items (i.e., notebooks, pens, etc ) that would display their company name or logo. Any company or institution interested in providing sponsorship should contact the conference chair via email by November 21st.

In an effort to create a 'Green' conference and minimize paper usage, submissions and requests for more information should be made via email to the conference chair, Michael Nilsson, Ph.D., at mnilsson@sonici.com.
