Sertoma, Inc. has announced a call for applications for the 2009 Sertoma Scholarships for Hearing Impaired Students. The national scholarship program offers twelve $1000 scholarships for U.S. students who have a minimum 40dB bilateral hearing loss. Scholarship funds may be used for any school-related expenses including tuition, books and supplies during any academic term, including summer term.
The scholarships are made possible through a generous donation from Oticon Pediatrics, a long time supporter of the educational initiatives of Sertoma, Inc., one of the oldest civic service clubs in the U.S. promoting civic responsibility through community service.
