The Nominating Committee for the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA) is soliciting nominations to fill five vacancies on the CAA in 2007. The positions are for four-year terms beginning January 1, 2007.
Academic Positions (Vacancies: 3 speech-language pathology) Individuals nominated for the academic positions must be members from the faculty/staff of accredited education programs. At least one of these shall have clinical teaching (supervision) as his or her primary role. At least 5 members of the CAA shall have served as academic program accreditation site visitors. (Full-time clinical faculty at CAA-accredited programs may be considered for an academic position on the council.)
Practitioner Positions (Vacancies: 1 audiology; 1 speech-language pathology) Individuals nominated for a practitioner position must be employed full-time in non-academic settings. Experience in supervising students and/or clinical fellows is encouraged. At least one of the CAA members shall have experience in supervising students and/or clinical fellows. (Adjunctive or complementary appointment to a university program shall not disqualify practitioner members, provided they are employed full-time in a non-university setting.)
