Audiologists watch their 'favorite sound' transform into art on Unitron's favorite sound wall.
June 15, 2012 - Kitchener, ON - What does sound look like when it becomes art? Attendees at AudiologyNOW! found out first hand, as hundreds of favorite sounds came to life at the hands of two talented illustrators on Unitron's Favorite Sound wall. The illustrative, mosaic showcase is the latest interpretation of Unitron's popular Favorite Sound program, which celebrates the sounds of life and the individuals dedicated to improving the lives of people with hearing loss.
A time-lapse video captures the creative process as it evolves on the tradeshow floor. Taking inspiration from favorite sounds shared by attendees, illustrators created a large mural to showcase the sounds of life - the whistle of a tea kettle, children at play and the clap of thunder, to name a few. The video, entitled "What's Your Favourite Sound?" is now available on YouTube.
"When you ask someone to share their favorite sound, you get more than words on paper. You hear wonderful stories about these sounds and the memories they evoke of special people and places in their lives," says Tracy Phillips, Director of Corporate Marketing, Unitron. "At AudiologyNOW! we had the pleasure of watching these sounds and stories come to life as captivating illustrations. That is truly the power of sound, and this program reinforces that our customers share in Unitron's passionate belief that 'Hearing matters'."
