Washington, DC, June 3, 2008The Better Hearing Institute (BHI) takes great pleasure in announcing the election of Cathy Henderson Jones as Vice President of the Institute and Gordon Walker as a new BHI director.
In announcing the new officer and director, BHI President Brian Kinnerk noted that "BHI has been actively reframing its information and assistance for people with hearing losses and restructuring its services, designed to help individuals who are seeking hearing healthcare pursue it. As a director of BHI for the past several years, Cathy Jones has been a creative and thoughtful guide for the Board with not only her broad experience in the hearing aid industry and her position as President and CEO of Phonak, but also as an audiological professional who brings an important knowledge base to the work of BHI. Gordon Walker and his company, Knowles Electronics, have been staunch supporters of BHI and generous sponsors of the Institute's MarkeTrak survey for many years, and Gordon's comprehensive knowledge of all the companies that produce amplification will be a real advantage to BHI's work. BHI deeply appreciates the dedication of these two individuals and their companies."
