Company Honors Distinguished Hearing Care Practitioners, Highlights New Hearing Aid Technologies

Baltimore, Maryland, 2009— Each year hearing care practitioners from around the world gather at Beltone's National Meeting to share ideas, participate in educational seminars on new technologies, and learn about the company's newest digital products and services.

Beltone held its 2009 National Meeting at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront in Baltimore, Maryland, from April 23-April 25. The annual meeting, themed "We Are Beltone" was attended by more than 600 members of Beltone's US dispenser network as well as international guests representing over 16 countries, including 28 guests from Japan.

The highlight of this year's meeting was the introduction of the new Beltone Touch™. This is Beltone's smallest (custom) power instrument and first microphone-in-concha open in-ear device. Hiding the microphone inside the protective curves of the upper concha, provides a wealth of audiological benefits. The result is more natural localization and better sound quality for the patient.

Todd Murray, President, Beltone USA, congratulated all of the company's network members for their remarkable achievements. Performance awards were presented to top practitioners from its offices internationally and throughout the U.S. Beltone presented its most prestigious President's Cup award to Russell Burnam and Terri Zahn-Burnam, Mansfield, Texas, for their exceptional patient care, community involvement and professional business practices.
