An informative poster explaining the time-saving benefits of audiology workflow solution AutoFit at The Department of Hearing Services, The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust was unveiled by Sarah Hinchcliffe, Audiologist. It illustrated a study of AutoFit, a solution to provide an efficient Real Ear Measurement (REM) process for hearing aid fittings by automatically adjusting the frequency response of a hearing instrument to match the prescriptive gain target, showing real life time savings. The poster previewed that time savings of up to 15 minutes per bilateral fitting were achieved, with fewer return visits necessary post-fitting compared to 20 per cent for patients fitted using manual REMs.
