February 11, 2013. Sydney, Australia - The Australian Hearing Hub at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia, brings together leading hearing-related research, clinical and educational organisations under one roof with a common purpose – to conduct research that will enhance the lives of people with hearing impairment.

The Australian Hearing Hub is launching its new state-of-the-art facilities with a conference on 17-19 April 2013. This inaugural conference will provide an outstanding opportunity for Australian and international researchers to exchange current knowledge and findings on the broad themes of language, literacy and cognition in children with hearing impairment, and to set future research agendas to address this challenging topic. The conference will also include related themes of tele-health, auditory processing abilities and disorders, speech perception, diagnosis of hearing loss in children, emotional health, social competency, and epidemiology.

Further submissions on any of these themes are welcome. Last call for papers! The closing date for submissions is February 15, 2013. Submission information for oral, oral posters and poster presentations can be found on the Submit Abstract of the AHH website.
