The Academy of Rehabilitative Audiology Institute will be held in Park City, Utah at the Park City Marriott on September 29-October 2. The featured speakers include Susan Nittrouer from Ohio State University and Melody Harrison from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
Dr. Nittrouer's presentation, Discovering the Organization of the Speech Signal: What Children with Hearing Loss Need to Learn, will be the opening talk of the Institute and should provide a foundation for many of the subsequent research papers of the conference.
Dr. Harrison's talk, Hearing Aid Fittings by 6 Months: Assessing Language and Communication Development will provide insights into the ways that speech, language, and general communication can be assessed in young infants.
